Pressure Washing:

Our pressure washing machines are 3,500psi. That is a very powerful jet of water that will surely remove weeds, moss, dirt, dust, mud, stains, and other contaminants that may have build up on your interlocking or concrete. This will also remove old sand in the joints and prepare us for the next step of polymeric joint sanding. Pressure washing equipment greater than 3,500psi may damage and chip away your interlocking or concrete surface therefore we stay away from it.

Interlocking & Concrete Cleaning:

We are an environmentally friendly company therefore we don’t use chemical cleaners unless absolutely necessary. If mother nature’s force of water isn’t enough to remove some contaminants then we will use environmentally friendly cleaning solutions to remove tough stains and efflorescence. Since we only use the finest products on the market that have been numerously tested, rest assured that your exterior surface will not get damaged.

Polymeric Joint Sanding:

After the exterior surface will be fully washed, cleaned, and joints will be emptied. We will apply the polymeric jointing sand. We use the finest grade of polymeric sand available that comes in a few different colour variations to better match the colour of your interlocking stones. Since the sand that we use is so fine it will easily get into very narrow joints and gaps. After we sweep the sand into all the joints, we will remove excess sand off the surface using air blowers and brooms to make sure that there is no residue of sand left on the stones. Then we will water the surface, this will activate the polymers in the polymeric sand allowing the sand to bond and harden. This will make the interlocking uni-lock together and increase the durability of the whole interlocking structure. Since water will no longer seep through the joints, this will prevent vegetation from growing through. This will also decrease the shifting in the interlocking since most of the shifting is due to moisture being trapped in the joints that freezes in the winter, expands, and pushes the interlocking apart.

Sealant Application:

We use Seal King’s sealer products . “These sealers are an acrylic based system that are specially formulated to enhance the natural beauty of the stone, brick or concrete surface by penetrating deep into the substrate, leaving a glossy, wet looking appearance. This sealer will protect the brick or concrete from oil, dirt, salt and discoloring. This sealer will not peel or blister. There are three types available: High gloss, Semi Gloss, and Natural look.” We apply the sealer using a high pressure sprayer that allows us to evenly distribute the sealer over the surface.
